Dmitry Medvedev held an expanded meeting of the State Council.

Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Estonia on Cooperation in Pension Provision.

Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin met with pensioners and veterans from across the country. The discussion focused on the ethnic policy, patriotic education of young people, indexation of pensions, medical supplies and employment of pensioners.

Ms Golikova reported to the President on the Ministry’s work in 2010 in such areas as support of mothers and children, development of high-tech medical care for children, and pension coverage. 

Mr Medvedev said that care for senior citizens is one of the state’s absolute priorities, but people of all ages need to realise that looking after senior citizens is a task for the whole of society, including public organisations and business.
