Taking part in the meeting were Chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council Boris Gryzlov, Secretary of the United Russia General Council’s Presidium and Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Sergei Neverov, Head of the United Russia Central Executive Committee and Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Andrei Vorobyov, and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Vyacheslav Volodin.

Mr Medvedev accepted the resignations of the governors of Arkhangelsk and Volgograd regions in mid-January.
