Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko and Russian Human Rights Ombudsman and President of the Paralympic Committee Vladimir Lukin. The agenda included the development of the Paralympic movement.

The meeting, which was held ahead of International Human Rights Day, addressed current issues related to defending citizens’ rights and freedoms.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov, Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin and Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Boris Titov.

Mr Lukin briefed Vladimir Putin on the work of human rights ombudspersons in the regions.

The Ombudsman reported to Dmitry Medvedev on the number of complaints regarding human rights violations in 2011.

Mr Lukin presented to Dmitry Medvedev his report on the state of human rights in Russia in 2010.

Dmitry Medvedev met with High Commissioner for Human Rights Navanethem Pillay.
